It is a Merry Christmas

Posted by April on Dec 16, 2008

There is nothing like Christmas to bring on the cheer!! I was with my mother yesterday & I told her that I haven’t felt like this at Christmas since I was a child. I have always enjoyed Christmas but there have been years where all the focus on shopping & presents & more shopping have tainted my Christmas spirit. But this year my three year old Diego is understanding it all and it just makes it all so exciting! From getting a real tree for the first time to seeing my boys’ eyes light up in Toys R Us - it just thrills me so much! I’m having a really awesome time, and my tiny tots have been such a blessing to me.

This year my mom made all three of her grandchildren aprons to help her bake cookies for Christmas. My two boys loved it and my incredibly beautiful niece had a fun time too! My mother doesn’t feel photo worthy, but it’s just too precious not to post this picture!! I think she looks BEAUTIFUL.

Look at all of those hands!! AHH!!! I LOVE it!!

I really hope I’m not ruining the surprise, but would you get a load of my 12 year old niece?!?!

It’s been a surreal thing to witness a little girl develop into a such a stunning young lady

Wow.. No wonder my 3 year old put her on his Santa’s list. He really really loves her!!

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful family!  I love the way the picture of your Mom with the grandchildren looks modern, yet the lighting of the shot makes it look as if it also could have been taken in the mid-60’s.  To me, that evokes (intentional use of that word!) feelings of the steadfastness and timelessness of a grandmother’s love.  The picture of the hands working together, with the more experienced hands guiding and training the younger - - - priceless!

awww too cute!  and your niece is gorgeous!  The first one makes me feel like it could be the cover of a copy of “Southern Living” from like 30 years ago.  And you know I love things that look vintage:-)

April- I love the pictures.  i was supposed to photograph my mom, nephews, and my daughter doing the same thing, but forgot my camera! I love the personal posts.  Perhaps posting the personal things will helpyou with your previously posted problem!
